WELCOME TO CHALFONT UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Our mission is to guide people of all backgrounds into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Every Sunday at 9:30am, we gather as a church family to worship Jesus and spend time in God’s Word. Grounded in God’s love, we warmly welcome you to come and experience what God is doing among us.
LOCATION
You can find our church at: 11 Meadowbrook Lane, Chalfont, PA. (off Business 202/Butler Avenue). Spacious parking lot. Building is wheelchair accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs and walkers available to use.
OVERALL CHURCH VIBE
Chalfont is a vibrant community where faith comes alive. We are dedicated to deep spiritual growth, building authentic, lifelong friendships, and putting love into action through mission work and caring ministries. There is a place for you here to grow, connect, and serve! From young adults and growing families to active seniors, Chalfont offers a lively place where everyone belongs. You will feel encouraged and inspired by the light and hope that brings us together.
We empower various groups during special annual celebrations (such as Veterans Day, Youth Day, Men’s Day, and Women’s Day) by giving them opportunity to lead in worship and share meaningful messages from their unique perspectives, enriching our collective understanding and unity with our community. Our worship style is low-church with traditional music. We strive to create learning opportunities through Bible Study, Sunday School, Youth Group Ministry, and our Bridge Initiative program which brings multiple generations together. We are a welcoming community where everyone can experience kindness and support.
LENGTH AND FORMAT OF WORSHIP SERVICE
Our choir opens the service with an anthem. After the anthem, children who want to attend Sunday school are dismissed for their class. The pastor leads worship, with the assistance of rotating scripture readers. We also have a world reknown musician who plays traditional music on the piano or organ during service. We serve Holy Communion on the first Sunday each month. Our service typically lasts about thirty to forty-five minutes. Everyone is invited to enjoy coffee fellowship with refreshments after service.
AVERAGE ATTENDANCE AND OVERALL DEMOGRAPHIC MAKEUP
Our current weekly attendance is low with slow but steady growth. It hovers around 55 for worship with about five teens in Sunday School. Albeit small now, our sanctuary is large, our spirits are lifted, and we are currently focused on creating new space for gen x, millennials and gen z. Our current demographic makeup comprises mostly elderly couples and singles. Majority of our attendees are of European ancestry and USA-born; however, we proudly boast of being welcoming and embracing of all people.
COMMUNITY HUB
We collaborate closely with Montgomery Square United Methodist Church, sharing the same pastor and co-hosting youth group and Bible study ministries that foster community and joint spiritual growth. Together, our churches organize a variety of annual activities and events. For example, we jointly organize holiday activities, community service projects, and youth mission trips that bring members from both congregations together.
We share our space with the four outside non-profit groups listed below and we actively seek to welcome groups that benefit our larger community and encourage interested organizations to contact us at msqumc@verizon.net">chalfontumc@gmail.com for more information about our hosting process.
